THE PULTRUSION PROCESS
Pultrusion is a continues process to produce shapes with constant cross-sections. In this process the reinforcements are dipped in the resin bath and pulled through the die , then pulled out by a pulling system after forming and curing. After this step there is the possibility to cut the product in requested sizes. This process is similar to plastics extrusion process and producing of plastic profiles somewhat. Among the advantages of this method it can be considered that the percentage of the fibers is high and because the fibers are configured longitudinally , the final product has a high tensile and compressive strength. Furthermore the surface of the final product is totally smooth and it doesn’t need any more completion process
